Bath Demolition were employed as Principal contractor to undertake the licensed and non licensed asbestos removal and Demolition of Rodford Primary School in Yate, Bristol.
The contract entailed the removal of asbestos in fully controlled conditions in accordance with Hse Legislation.
Following the removal of asbestos materials the redundant school was soft stripped of all loose and unwanted waste. Salvageable materials were donated to other schools in the local area for re use and all other materials were sent off site for re-cycling where possible.
The completion of the Internal works enabled the start of the main mechanical demolition. The site was located in a densely populated residential area and required careful planning and close liaison with the local authority and residents.
